About this celestial object
A touch of California in Perseus — expansive and light-shy.
The wide emission nebula shines strongly in H‑alpha and, at short focal length, fills entire frames — only hinted at visually under very dark skies.
In this mini series it appears as a gentle brightening, curbed by the low horizon.
At 250 mm f/5 the elongated shape fits well; more integration would markedly strengthen the characteristic glow.
