NGC2237

The Rosette complex rises low in Monoceros—and glows even just above the horizon.
This extensive H II region is an active cradle of stars; young, hot stars set the hydrogen aglow.
At only 8° elevation and 79% humidity, the field hovered just above the horizon—the brief sequence already hints at structure and dark lanes.
37 exposures totaling 370 s at 250 mm focal length and f/5 give the sprawling nebula ample field.
