Uranus Manuell
About this celestial object
Uranus in wide field—a quiet splash of color in the dense star carpet.
Uranus, the sideways-spinning ice giant, is barely grasped with the naked eye but shows in binoculars as a colored, non-twinkling point.
74 exposures braved the thick horizon layer at roughly 12° altitude and yielded a clean position fix.
The moderate 250 mm image scale emphasizes the surroundings—helpful for secure identification.
