T_coronae_borealis

T Coronae Borealis—the recurrent nova with rare, spectacular outbursts.
T CrB in Corona Borealis is a recurrent nova: a binary system that flares eruptively at long intervals and can briefly become visible to the naked eye.
At around 19° altitude and high humidity, the frame shows the quiescent state within a dense star field—a look at the stage before the next act.
The 250 mm field and many short exposures provide a reliable basis for brightness comparisons.
