Scutum Star Cloud

The Scutum Star Cloud opens a viewing window onto the Milky Way’s most star-laden zone.
This star cloud is a window of reduced dust absorption; it lets us see deeper into the inner spiral arms of our Galaxy and reveals an exceptional density of stars in a small area.
About 12 minutes total exposure with 250 mm f/5 show bright fields and intervening dark clouds as fine silhouettes.
