NGC6992

Delicate shock fronts from NGC 6992 lace the summer field in Cygnus.
NGC 6992 is part of the Veil Nebula, an extensive supernova remnant in Cygnus, famed for its fine, rippled filaments.
Despite 74% humidity, the luminous arc stands out clearly against the rich stellar background.
258 frames yield about 43 minutes of exposure; 250 mm at f/5 renders the large-scale nebular complex in balanced fashion.
