NGC6946

The Fireworks Galaxy shimmers as a delicate spiral framed by star fields on the edge of Cygnus.
This face-on spiral galaxy is rich in star formation and has been known for numerous observed supernovae over decades.
About 3 hours of exposure at 250 mm and f/5 lift the faint outer arms against the star-rich Milky Way background.
