NGC5906

Slender galaxy in an edge-on view, captured a few degrees above the horizon.
As a strongly edge-on spiral it looks needle-fine; its dark dust lane slices through the weak central region.
The capture was made extremely close to the horizon at 4.9° elevation, stacked from 1,670 frames (16,700 s) to reveal the delicate structure through thick air.
With a 50 mm quadruplet at 250 mm focal length, this yields a surprisingly detailed look at this narrow system.
