NGC3227

NGC 3227—an interacting spiral whirl, captured low on the horizon.
The pair is gravitationally bound; tidal forces disturb the outskirts and give the halo an irregular form—a classic case of galactic interaction.
From 666 short exposures, fine signal accumulates; proximity to the horizon and 71% humidity reduce contrast, yet the compact core and elongated surroundings emerge.
At 250 mm focal length f/5, the duo remains small in the frame and underscores the character of a distant island universe.
