NGC2841

NGC 2841—a calm, tightly wrapped spiral galaxy just above the horizon.
The galaxy is known for closely set dust lanes and a uniform, mature look—signs of rather subdued star formation.
623 short exposures at 70% humidity sum to a stable rendering; the core and finely structured outskirts stand out visibly.
At 250 mm f/5 it remains small in the frame, but gains depth from the calm surroundings.
