NGC2775

Finely feathered spiral structure in NGC 2775—visible despite extreme proximity to the horizon.
NGC 2775 is a face-on spiral galaxy in Cancer; its bright bulge and flocculent, tightly wound arms point to ordered structures.
At only about 3° altitude, its light had to traverse thick air—yet the compact core stands out cleanly against the brightened background.
385 short exposures add up to just over an hour; a 250 mm refractor at f/5 teases out fine dust lanes.
