M92

M92 sparkles as a dense globular cluster in Hercules—captured here just above the horizon.
M92 is a bright, very compact globular in Hercules; its old stars crowd into a prominent, steep core.
The low altitude smooths details, yet the outskirts are already beginning to resolve into fine stellar granulation.
From 248 exposures, about 41 minutes of light accumulate; at 250 mm and f/5 the surroundings remain well represented.
