M88

M88, a classic spiral galaxy, shows fine, tightly wound arms.
It belongs to the Virgo Cluster; dust lanes and a bright core stand out from the disk.
Just under an hour of integration at 57% humidity suffices to reveal the spiral structure despite the airmass toward the horizon.
A 250 mm focal length at f/5 provides a balanced field for galaxies in the cluster.
