About this celestial object
Against the bright Milky Way of Cygnus, M29 appears as a compact star pattern.
The small open cluster is easy to miss, yet gains appeal in a wide field: a distinctive star grid against the nebulous backdrops of the Cygnus complex.
Even short series reveal the brightest members; with increasing depth the dense starfield further animates the scene.
