M16

Deep exposure on M16: the Eagle Nebula shows more glow and structure around the famous pillars.
The Eagle Nebula is an active H II region in Serpens; dark clouds and young stars lend the area its dramatic character.
The longer integration reveals fine emission veils around the core and cleanly separates it from the starry carpet.
3620 seconds total exposure give the faint nebular contrast appreciably more depth.
