M11

M11, the Wild Duck Cluster, condenses hundreds of stars into a sparkling wedge in Scutum.
M11 is one of the richest open clusters in the sky, known as the Wild Duck Cluster in Scutum; its wedge pattern stands out even in mid‑sized optics.
In the wide field, the cluster appears as compact granulation against the bright summer Milky Way.
1240 seconds total integration suffice to cleanly resolve its grainy character.
