IC5070

IC 5070, the Pelican Nebula, shows glowing gas and dark contours in star‑rich Cygnus.
IC 5070 is an extended H‑II region: UV radiation from young stars excites gas to glow, while dust filaments draw the nebula’s distinctive “beak” contours.
361 short exposures blend broad nebular swaths with a dense stellar background—despite only a little over 22° altitude.
At 250 mm focal length and f/5, the refractor opens the view to large‑scale structures and fine dark clouds.
