Dayly Asteroid Search

Many short exposures reveal drifting asteroids in the star field.
Asteroids are small Solar‑system bodies, mostly in the belt between Mars and Jupiter; in images they reveal themselves not by shape but by motion.
554 short exposures at only 17° elevation can be blinked and compared—so the wandering points of light leap from the stellar background.
A 250‑mm f/5 wide‑field refractor frames the broad search area with a fine carpet of stars.
