As a long‑period comet, C/2023 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS shows a diffuse coma; a faint dust tail can be visible even at short focal length.
Stacking a good 15 minutes lifts the coma from the stellar background despite humid conditions.
250 mm at f/5 balances field size and resolution for comet hunting.
